The GAEYC Program of the Year award is presented to a large or small center-based program that has made a significant and innovative contribution to the welfare of young children.

Award criteria

Recipients of the GAEYC Program of the Year must meet the following criteria:

  • Large or small center-based program
  • Has made a significant and innovative contribution to the welfare of young children
  • Shows evidence of professional collaboration within a center
  • Program strives to meet the individual needs of all children enrolled
  • Continuously strives to improve the program and provide the highest quality child care possible

mommy-angels-daycareMommy Angels Daycare, is a professional learning center for children ages one to 5 located in Dunwoody, GA.  The center currently has three classrooms reflecting age-appropriate curriculum and learning resources.  Each classroom reflects a rich learning environment where children develop their social, gross, and fine motor skills using lesson plans that coordinate with appropriate state standards and based on child interest.  The environment is colorful, child-centered, and inviting. To meet their mission of individual growth and development of all children, the staff provide continuous positive interaction with children.  Mommy Angels Daycare, incorporates a hardworking, professional staff, whose outstanding teaching performance is duly noted by the parent community as well as the center administration. The center is currently in process with Quality Rated and expects to have their first rating by the end of 2016.  Both the staff and administration work to continuously improve their knowledge and skill to provide the best child care possible for our youngest children.
