Public-Policy-Agenda-cover-June-2016GAEYC Policy Agenda

Each year the GAEYC Board of Directors develops a policy agenda to help guide our advocacy efforts in the early childhood education field. Take a look at the 2016-2017 GAEYC Policy Agenda.

Public Policy Committee

Public policy efforts at GAEYC are guided by the Public Policy committee. If you’re interested in policy related to early childhood education, contact the Public Policy Chair to learn more or join the committee’s work.

Become a Children’s Champion

The National Association for the Education of Young Children sends regular updates on federal policy issues and legislation related to early childhood education. Join the Children’s Champions email list to stay updated on federal policy.

Children’s Day at the Capitol 2017

Children’s Day at the Capitol took place on March 6, 2017. The event, sponsored by Voices for Georgia’s Children, is an annual time for organizations with an interest in public policy for children to make connections with each other and share ideas. Join us next year at the Capitol to speak up for children!

GAEYC is partnering with GEEARS: The Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students

GEEARS is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization operating to inspire and provide leadership for a statewide movement on quality early learning and healthy development for all children ages birth through five. GEEARS was established in 2010 to help business, civic and government leaders maximize the economic return on the state’s investments in early care and learning. GEEARS’s new campaign, the First 2000 Days will promote awareness of the importance of early childhood in Georgia.
