Handling children’s behavior can be one of the biggest challenges for early childhood teachers. Troubling changes in children’s behavior are often the only way teachers discover that they are experiencing stress. The Children Under Stress: Understanding the Language of Behavior webinar will explore the behaviors of young children, not as “misbehavior” but as ways of expressing stress.
This webinar is part of the Child Care and Military Families web conference series, co-sponsored by the eXtension Alliance for Better Child Care and the Military Families Learning Network. Although many of the specific examples will focus on stresses children feel as a result of being part of a military family, much of the information would be relevant to any child care provider wanting to know more about how stress affects children’s behavior.
